April Birchbox // Beauty Box

Hello,
Today we make it into the beginning of spring with April's Birchbox, I also make it over half way through the week. Time flies ay, today's my results day so fingers crossed to future me on those, I'm sure we shall be able to judge what  got from my tweets @takecarealisha (cheeky plug there). However back to the box, no theme this month as such so lets just get cracking ...
First product and if I'm honest when I first grabbed it I honestly thought it was a another bottle of shower gel. However fear not for the first time in beauty box history we have got a full sized shampoo! I think full size's of things like this are just better because something like a shampoo you need to try for a long period of time to begin to see results. This smells so lovely and like I would want to put it through my hair. Also well done Birchbox for including a product suitable for all hair types!
Next product I'm a little puzzled by, first of all I will say how chuffed I am that it is organic I always love very natural products. But I just have no clue how to use this, I've read some things that say use this to cleanse and some to moisturize and some even say it's a healing balm. However in all honesty I really don't have a clue. So I feel maybe a little experimentation maybe needed to find the best purpose of this for me.
Love love love this. Such a clever idea of a sample, the full size is a pallet of size so they sent out a small size of one that would be suitable for most skin tones so people can test the formula and well fall in love. The balm has such quirky packaging and some amazing products for pretty reasonable prices, I'm always so happy to see them in boxes and especially in the Birchbox store for me to buy with my points *insert smirk face emoij*
Another make-up product, so defiantly a thumb's up from me. I've started to hear quite a lot about Lord & Berry and have been intrigued to try their products so I'm glad to receive an item that I know a lot about and will be able to put to the test. Again a nice black eyeliner would be great for any gal or maybe guy.
Final product of this box is such a pretty nail polish, you got given the choice at the beginning of the month which colour you would like and obviously I choice this stunning shimmery baby blue. Such a pretty colour and just apply's nicely, 2 coats and you're ready to go.

I was so impressed with this months box and just was excited to try everything out. I guess the best thing was it was all things I could use with a strong mixture of brands and products to make a strong box.

7 Months Of Being Subscribed To Birchbox In A Week // Beauty Box

Hello,
Well it's been a while hasn't it. I keep trying to come up with reason after reason on why I haven't been regularly updating and there just isn't one. It started with being busy with school work, then exams, then having a brief period of chilling and then that developed into pure laziness. No more! I really want to keep my blog running effectively as I just have so much that I want to talk about. So hopefully this will be the start of me really getting back onto the blogging bandwagon and getting into a routine with it that works well around all of my other commitments so I can still retain my favorite hobby.I have so many idea's for post in the next few weeks, ie trying to do some more fashion and lifestyle  posts.  So now we've got the boring admin/apology done lets get into today's post.

I have been subscribed to Birchbox for 7 months now which is a heck of long time and I have never done a post on any of my boxes. So I thought why not condense 7 months into 1 week so any possible people that may be interested in subscribing can see what they are to expect over a fair period. Luckily I did manage to take loads and loads of photos so you can really see in depth what you get in Birchbox. Slight spoiler alert but I am very happy with my subscription and I find the quality of the boxes to be much more consistant that some of its competitors. So from Monday 11th there will be each month of Birchbox and by the time I'm back from V Festival we shall be ready for August. How exciting!!

empties // April/May

Hey guys, So this is my long over-due empties post from this month and last! As you can see a fair few things have been culminated. I feel like it is a good moment when I finish something because it means I get to try a new product without being wasteful. Win, win situation. So without further ado here we gooooooo
Hair care
First of all we have the VO5 Revive Me Daily Shampoo, I really enjoyed using this shampoo it made my hair feel clean and healthy which for me is all I really look for at it served it's purpose. I probably will re-purchase at some point but to be honest I just buy whats on offer at the moment. To accompany the shampoo we have the VO5 Give Me Moisture Conditioner, again this was a ice conditioner and it left my hair feel smooth and shinny without looking greasy so thumbs up for that. The last thing is the conditioner that came with my Garnier Nutrisse hair dye. Love the smell of this!
Body
First of all we a pot from Lush, the 'Creme Anglaise, Hand and Body Lotion'. I didn't really take to the smell of this just wasn't a fave of mine. But if I remember correctly it was pretty moisturizing so bonus points there. I didn't really enjoy it but it can go towards my 5 pots so not a total loss. Next we have a shower scrub from a Gok gift set I got at Christmas. It was nice just one of those products you used up for the sake of using. Next we have the Soap and Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel. Nice classic soap and glory scent, left me feeling clean and refreshed. I like to change the smell of my shower gel quite often, but I will probably buy this again in the near future. Lastly there is The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Body Scrub, I love love love this smell. Let me re-phrase that. Anything from the body shop. I loved used this, quite coarse, scrub and would recommend it to all.
Face
As you can see we have three Lush pots, we have two face masks 'Love lettuce' and 'Catastrophe Cosmetic'. Both of which we're nice, I personally didn't see any major skin benefits but they didn't make my skin any worse so I can't complain. The other pot is the 'Ocean Salt' which is a facial scrub. I loved this, it was really tough and cleaned all the grime out of my skin. Nice. But seriously cleaned up my skin and gave a nice refreshing smell. The last two bits are make-up. One is the 24-hours Extreme Felt-Tip Liner by Collection and the other is a lipstick from the Natural Collection. Technically this lippy isn't finished but it's snapped beyond repair! Oh well. The liner was ace and I brought another, such a good price and lasts all day!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my empties, that may be a little late. What products have you used up? Have you tried any of these products? Let us know!
